The 2024 NFL Season has started off with plenty of exciting news. Like most years, much of the fans’ attention has been oriented towards this year’s rookies. After watching the most talented athletes from the NCAA get drafted, everyone wants to know how their skill has translated over towards the big leagues. Here are three of this year’s highlights.
After a Heisman season with the LSU Tigers, quarterback Jayden Daniels was drafted second overall to the Washington Commanders. Daniels is already leading the Commanders with a 4-1 start to the season, placing them first in the NFC. Per NFL stats, alongside being top 5 in QB rating, Daniels leads the league in completion percentage with 77.1%, showing his elite accuracy with the football.
Daniels’ former teammate at LSU, wide receiver Malik Nabers, was drafted sixth overall to the New York Giants. Despite suffering a concussion in week four, Nabers has had a phenomenal start to his rookie season. Alongside his 386 receiving yards and three touchdowns, Nabers leads the league in receptions with a total of 35.
Lastly, after a phenomenal career at Georgia, tight end Brock Bowers was drafted 13th overall by the Las Vegas Raiders. With 313 receiving yards, Bowers leads the league by a tight end. Bowers was an offensive threat like none other at Georgia and he continues to show that talent in the NFL.
The start to this year’s NFL season has been exciting for the rookies, and Daniels, Nabers, and Bowers are just three of the many stars this year’s rookie class has to offer.
